spring 2012: the wish list

I've decided to keep my spring wishlist a bit shorter and more concise than the winter one; I also plan to stick to it a bit more closely, rather than just picking up anything that catches my eye when shopping.

You'll probably notice that most of the items and colors I list aren't exactly typical spring wear - I love the colder months, and I tend to carry the trends and color palettes of those season with me throughout the year. I adore darker colors and jewel tones, and I prefer leather and lace over frills and florals. Don't get me wrong - I like frills and florals and girly stuff, I just can't pull it off the way other girls can. As I've said before, my look is much more Amy Lee than Taylor Swift (extra points for those of you who know who Amy Lee is).

I also realize that it's only January, and therefore a bit early to be talking spring shopping, but the fashion blogosphere is abuzz with spring trends, and Spring Fashion Week is just around the corner. Stores are already clearancing out their winter selections to make way for the spring line up, and the parade of new releases has even me looking forward to some of the spring trends (just a little bit, mind you).

So maybe my wish list isn't quite as streamlined as I would like. It's still shorter than the last one (I think), although I'm sure I'll be adding to it after next month's fashion shows. The IFB Evolving Influence Conference is next month (Feb 8th), and they'll be streaming it online - I definitely wish I could be there IRL, but at least I will be able to watch online!

It's now just past 11pm. Eek... I am so going to regret this in the morning.
