Today's outfit did not turn out the way I intended it to; went completely against my own advice and opted for a baggy, shapeless shirt atop a pair of wide legged, baggy, shapeless trousers. Why? Because I felt the need to be swathed in many layers of lightweight black fabric today. The summer is stifling; black is how I both combat and cope. Besides, for whatever reason, dressing like this, in overdone layers and baggy silhouettes, makes me feel like Julia from Smash.

Side note: The easiest way to look like you're trying when you're actually not? Wear something that sparkles. People think you put effort into your outfit, cuz you're shiny... but really, you were just too lazy to come up with anything else. Also, this feathered fedora and my pretty new starfish cuff from shopcalico automatically make anything (and everything) much cooler.

There endeth my cleverness for the night; too exhausted to spew forth any more. Well, no, that's not entirely true - I'm not physically exhausted, but my brain seems to be temporarily sapped of creativity. I've been busting my adorable ass on the shop all night, with some mighty fine results.
